Rain Rain and Good times

Last P-day was transfers so they went to the airport to see Elder Hobby, Elder Hamilton and Elder Gaastra off to Adelaide (a 4 1/2 hour plane ride)
Thanks To Sister Farrer for these wonderful pictures!!

Elder Dahle & Elder Atkinson

Sweet looking hats and good looking Elders as well

This is the accounts at the airport on September 5th from Sister Farrer: "What a scene at the airport this morning... one suit left at the flat...a carry on bag was accidentally put on the belt with the bags to be checked on...a back pack was accidentally put with another's party's luggage to be checked on...stopped at security for a pair of scissors in one of the elders backpack...one elder put his passport, boarding pass, and other valuables in a tray to go through security and forgot to pick them up at the other end ( Elder Farrer got them) ...one elder was randomly chosen to be searched, as was Sister Farrer...one carry on backpack left on a chair while the elder went to eat lunch (Elder Farrer found it before he boarded)...the tickets that were given to one of the elders to hold, was put in his suitcase that he checked on (seriously, are you kidding me!)...one elder's name was called over the loud speaker to report to the security desk ( what now?)...a bit of lunch...a lot of tears...a few quick photos... hugs all around...and it was goodbye to Elder Hamilton, Elder Hobby, and Elder Gaastra...until we meet again...forever in our hearts❤️😘...I hope the flight was smoother than checking in"😂😁"

What a good looking Army of God

Elder Angelo making a cake under Elder Atkinson supervision For Family home evening

Posted on Brother and Sister Farrers page: "We received an early morning phone call Tuesday from one of our recent converts who is now living out bush in Ngukurr. She asked if the missionaries would be able to go give a blessing to her grandson who had been transported to Darwin by plane last night for medical attention. We picked up Elder Atkinson and Elder Angelo as assigned by the Zone Leaders to answer her request. How blessed we were to have been part of that experience. We also took a photo as requested by grandma Anne Marie Joshua... and here we are with 6 year old Dazdon Daylight and his mother Natasha".❤️

Email from Elder Atkinson:

This week has been awesome! The Wet season is starting! It rained like mad the other day! Most of the afternoon after church. We were riding on the foot path and it was like a river! We got lucky and we were heading down stream! We were riding with our umbrellas in one hand and the handle bar in the other! It was a blast for me! Im so glad that I am a decent biker! Elder Angelo had a very hard time. Our legs were soaked because we were biking in a stream of water but the umbrella worked for me! I love the Darwin rain and I cant wait for the lightning storms as well! They are apparently world famous! The best part is when it rains it not humid!

Elder Hobby forgot he had scissors, and he had the carry on problem. Elder Gaastra got called over the overcome. and Elder Hamilton left his backpack unattended. It was a crazy day but we got to see Kangaroo testicle key chains, and a lot of cool stuff in the airport store!

I have been staying very dry except for my pant legs because we literally are biking in a flooded foot path theres not much I can do. I bike with my umbrella in one hand and a hand on the handle bar. It is so much fun! The best part is that it cools down when it rains! But not for long. I heard that in November after the rain its still hot and it steams. Im looking forward to it!
Oh this is how i keep my scriptures and camera dry

I am making good use of it! Man its awesome here! We are very close to baptizing a aboriginal named Erica and Melissa! They are half ab. so they had a education and aren't fully supported by the government. They are very smart and spiritual! They enjoyed church and had a question about the holy ghost after church! We will teach them the god head this week and get them ready to make and keep sacred covenants!

I love Darwin! We are working with a lot of families. They are indigenous so it takes a lot to get them to commit to anything. Commitment isnt a part of their culture. Most of them just want us to pray for them
